Sincere sympathy to Kathleen and all the family. So sorry to hear of Gabriel’s passing. Although the first time that I met him when he came to Ballinasloe with my brother Gerald we were in the field making hay sometime in the 1960s I couldn’t understand a word he was saying with the northern accent haha. I used love meet him and Sean going to Landsdowne Road for the Ireland matches COYBIG. Biggest memory was when he brought me to Windsor Park for the 1993 World Cup game with the North-We had a great laugh over that afterwards for when Quinn scored for them I had to stand up with the rest of them and when Alan McLoughlin got the now famous Goal for us I had to stay seated. Gabriel made up for this though when he brought me to see Manchester Utd play at Old Trafford when he was Secretary of the Fermanagh Supporters Club and later to Liverpool to see Ireland play a World Cup play-off with Holland. Kathleen, Anita, Martina, Sean and family. So sorry to hear the news. Gab was a great man, always had a story and a smile on his face. It was great being in Lansdowne road with Sean and Gab watching Ireland play and not to mention the many trips Gab used to drive us to. Happy memories. Rest in Peace Gab.
