Only heard today that your beloved Dad had passed away. Absolutely stunned. Recalled so many happy days in Cahore. Barbecues, after hours parties, always a sing song. Such happy times. Will always remember him, and Colette, with great fondness. Know Colette had that “yellow ribbon on the old oak tree” ready to welcome him. My sincere condolences on your great loss, your Dad was one in a million.

Deepest sympathy to Adrienne Susan David and Robert on the passing of Gay. Have lots of memories of the good times in the Strand Bar. They were always such good loyal customers over the years. Gay was lost after Collette passed away.
He has now joined the “Posh lady” as I called Collette following a holiday in the Canaries that we happen to be in same apartment block. Such fun that was!

So sorry Susan to hear about the loss of your adored Dad. As young as I was I have vivid memories of the laughter coming from the family next door in Cahore. One is when your dad was cheerleading you on to climb to the top of that impossibly tall tree which of course you did.
