It is with deep sadness for the passing of Mary! I lived right beside Mary for over 4 years now and will miss her deeply. She lit up our community here and was an inspiration to all of us. My Grandchildren absolutely adored Mary. She would come out and play any of the games I set up for them...particularly badminton, which she was quite good at. She was much better at sports than me at her ripe age of 95. We all laughed when she hit the birdie right up on the roof! I will miss all of her great stories and watching her walk by my place at least 4 times a day. Condolences to her Children and Family. There will never be another one like Mary! We will all miss you! Rest in Peace dear soul Mary!

Mary's greatest wish was to remain in her own home, and she was blessed to do just that. Her fierce independence was a point of pride, yet it was balanced by the deep love of a community that adored her. She was surrounded by caring friends and neighbours who looked out for her, ensuring that while she lived on her own terms, she was never truly alone.
They say names carry weight, and Mary's suggest a grace that transcends the earth. After 95 years of lighting up the North End with her feisty spirit and relentless pace, she has finally traded the sidewalk for the Heavens.
"May the road rise up to meet you, Mary. May the wind be always at your back, and may you soar with the angels at a speed they'll have to work hard to match."
Mary will be fondly remembered not only by her family in Ireland but her many friends and neighbours in Peterborough.

To all the family of Mary. I have been a neighbour of Mary for many years. She will be greatly missed. I used to watch her walk with her walker to church every morning no matter what the weather. She was always cheerful and friendly. Many times I have thought get moving if she can do it so can I. She was an inspiration.
