I only heard the news today. Im am heartbroken & so very sorry at the loss of your lovely son Gareth. I will pray for you all. I remember working with Morwenna years ago, such a lovely girl & Im sure Gareth was such a lovely lad. Such a tragedy in your lovely family. God bless you all & give you peace 🙏 xx

My sincere condolences to the Conway family on the passing of your beloved Gareth. I will forever hold dear the many memories I have of Gaz; from him strumming his guitar at every opportunity to him educating me on music with mix tapes and Jim Morrison sketches during our time in UCD. His warmth, compassion and kindness was exemplary. May you all find strength during this very difficult time.

Gaz will be missed by so many. I have nothing but fond memories of Gaz from our primary school days, buzzing around on roller blades thinking we were the next mighty ducks. We went to war countless times together on the Rugby pitch for Suttonians. Gaz was a class player and always punched well over his weight and had the back of every single one of his teammates.
Lots of fun and smiling memories come to mind thinking of my old pal even after all the years that have gone past.

We were greatly saddened to hear of Gareths passing he was a lovely, kind and fun person. Thinking of all of his family at this time and sending our deepest condolences.

We are very shocked and saddened to hear the news of Gareth's death just tonight (6th Dec). We were neighbours of Gareth and had many conversations with him. We would have attended the mass had we known. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and his daughter who he spoke off often.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Gaz. My condolences to Eileen, Brian, Dylan, Megan Morwenna, Arya and to his wider family and friends.
I will always remember Gaz's laugh, good humor and terrible slaggings, the latter of which I experienced many times but always in good fun.
I have fond memories of many nights sitting in the Connolly's garage watching Sunny Blunder practice for a gig or recording music, also helping out as a roadie to get gear in and out of town for gigs.
There were many good times in the Smithfield apartment, Balaclava house, at gigs, festivals, BBQs the list goes on.
The welcome Gaz gave me when I first arrived in Australia is something I will remember the most. He collected me from the airport, introduced me to all his mates and always seemed to have the time to make me feel welcome. When I moved to Deniliquin, a remote rural town with a population of 7,000, to get a work visa, Gaz made the 5 hour drive north of Melbourne to come up and check in to see that I was doing ok.
Although when Gaz left Australia time and distance reduced our friendship to the occasional Facebook message or a catch up when I was over visiting family in Ireland, I always considered him to be a very good friend.
Today I am sad but also remembering the many good times I shared with Gaz.

I am so sorry for your immense loss. Gareth was always a larger then life person, so caring, loving and fun which is no surprise considering the amazing family he comes from.
I know we have reminisced over our many adventures (and arguements) on the green, saying mass, re-enacting riverdance and all our family party's growing up but my happiest memory of Gareth will always be swinging out over a river while we did part of the Wicklow Way with our dad's. We were all so blissfully happy.

I met Gareth on our J1 in Myrtle Beach. We instantly became Bessies (as we called it) he made that summer one of the most fun summers - from his unbelievable smile, infectious laugh and who could forget the many sing alongs he would have.
May you rest in peace Gareth and I hope your singing somewhere up above for us all. I’m going to cherish our memories forever.
