Garth COLLIER

My sincere condolences to Phyllida, Warren, Georgina, and all the Collier family and friends. I have known Garth for about 25 years; in that time, he became a very close friend. I got to know him and his family and was always a welcome visitor to their home. Rarely a week passed without multiple communications so in the eight weeks since his passing, the silence reminds me of what a wonderful friend he was. Thank you for the memories and the friendship, Garth. Rest in Peace, my friend!

A true friend, will be missed but never forgotten

It is with deep sadness that we hear the very unexpected and sudden passing of our dear friend Garth. His flamboyant presence around Trinity in the late 60's in his E-type is an image that one never forgets. His occasional outing in Mondello Park is an additional memory. However his contribution to Newcastle through the years has been outstanding. He assisted the building of the Community Centre providing all the door fittings and emergency exits . He was active on the board of St.Francis School and was an outstanding supporter of our Parish church. As a friend he was totally reliable and always a pleasure to be with.. We extend our deepest sympathy to Phyllida ,Warren and Georgina and to his brother Arthur and to all the Collier family.

Sending love to Phyllida and all the Collier family. I knew Garth when we were studying at TCD back in the 70s, and I still remember his funny sense of humor. Peace for all. xo

My sincere condolences to the entire Collier family. I have known Garth for a good 25 years, we spoke a few times a week. He was a great friend and business associate. I will miss him dearly. We talked about tennis and his jogging on the beach, his cars and horses. He also spoke about his son Warren and how proud he was of him.

To Wendy's many friends (including many in the UK, such as myself), Garth was her sophisticated, urbane, debonair, witty older brother whose snazzy dressing put all our brothers to shame. It was great to reconnect with him at Wendy's birthday celebrations in Rosslare in March this year. Thinking of you all this Thursday and in the weeks to follow.

My Garthfather as I always called my dearest Garth, my beloved Godmother Phyllida’s husband. Garth was the most gentle, kind and loving soul, it was always pure joy and peace to be close to him.
Garth will always be a true inspiration to me, I will miss our walks down the beach and all our precious laughs, our moments of deep reflection about life. Rest in peace my Garthfather, all my love to the family and friends.

Known Garth for a while in business. Such a nice person and a great business partner he was. We are shocked and in grief.
