My heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy in these difficult times to Gary’s family, friends, and colleagues and business partners in CLF. Shock and disbelief are the only way to describe the untimely passing of our friend and partner Gary.
We first met in 2003, and when we kicked off an own business Gary gave us a big break with setting up the Irish business from Belgium. That did not happen overnight and it was not all roses and moonshine but there was always time for a laugh and a joke.
As Gary posted underneath an old picture of an old truck: sometimes it is good to remember from where we started and what we achieved with good and bad times.
RIP, Chieff, and thank you for everything.
— Denis Glorie, GC-Trans

I've had the honor to meet and work with Gary on a regular base.

who could have thought last November our goodbye and Houdoe as we say in our part of Holland would be the last time meeting up in real life.

Your unexpected passing away left us speachless and left us with lots of memory's and quotes to remember one being: the Yourney is often more enjoyble than the destination sadly so true in this case.

Dear Gary, I would like to thank you so much for being the warm and helpfull person you were.

It is with deep sadness that I hear of Gary’s sudden passing. I met Gary first when he worked in MSAS Cassin in the mid nineties. We became great friends and spent many a Sunday with his dad the late Paddy fishing on the river Nore. I will always remember his massive big smile every time he caught a good Salmon. Sincere sympathy to all his family on your great loss. One of life’s true gentlemen taken far too soon.

It is with shock and sadness that we heard about our friend and long term partner Gary Carolan of CLF.
27 years ago Gary gave us our first break in our European exports freight by giving us the ability to deliver our German customers with a 5 days service at affordable prices. In so doing his “leg up” to our then fledgling exports business has since provided livelihoods to so many in Kilkenny / Carlow who never knew him. He was a stalwart pillar of the Irish-Euro freight industry, always available to solve a problem and to look after his customers. Respected and even loved by his loyal staff and customers like us, may you rest in Peace my friend.
Go n-éiri an bóthar leat a bhuchail.

Very sad news. I have lots of great memories of growing up with Gary in Tolka Estate. Endless games of football & playing kerbs, playing kick the can in the cul-de -sac, building forts & scrambling bikes around the ditch (now Glasnevin Downs), liberating apples & plumbs from the posh houses, collecting tyres for the bonfire. He loved helping his uncle in the truck, not surprised to learn he had a career in freight. Condolences to his wife & children and the extended Carolan family.
