GARY CROKE

Dear Helen and Paul, Paul and Neil

Gary was my best friend. He was also the most intelligent, engaging and funniest person I have ever known.

And the kindest too, from that very first day in 1995, and when Gary appeared the following morning with two Everton tickets and we walked to the match at Goodison Park.

Gary gave us the best of years, the greatest of craic, and I will miss him so much.
We would talk and laugh (out loud!) about everything from his astrophysics to astroturf.

The memories will always live on with us, his stories and huge influence passed forward.
Thank you all, amazing people from Waterford, Liverpool and Williamsburg for a making it a wonderful life.

Gary really loved science, the cosmos and the works of Carl Sagan so I’m sure he would agree:

To live in the hearts left behind is to live forever.

I’m very sorry to hear the passing of Gary. I only knew him briefly as being the neighbor of my daughter and family in Williamsburg Va. He was such a wonderful man. I’m expressing my deepest sympathy to Helen and family and to Alyssa, Molly and Patrick.
