So sad to hear of Gavin’s passing and I kept thinking ‘I can’t believe it’. I remember the first time I met him and Gillian when we were small and we played around their Nana’s houses. I thought he was so cool! We’ve chatted a few times over the years and he showed up for me. I'm so glad I ran after him one day in town not so long ago to catch up. He was a sweetheart. I was lucky enough to work for Gavin in the Travel Trade department of CAR. You couldn't ask for a nicer manager, especially considering all the challenges he was navigating with covid, remote working and the shutdown of the travel industry. He was so supportive, always available to give advice, help you with a query or just have a chat and a laugh! He was a true gentleman and the best manager I have had over the course of my career.
My sympathies to all his family, friends and colleagues on this terrible loss.
