Deepest condolences to Brenda, Daniel and family on the passing of Geoff. I worked with Geoff at Trinity College London in the early 90s. I remember him as being positive, funny, smart and compassionate. He was a creative thinker and had a can-do attitude to life. Geoff brightened any room he entered. I feel fortunate to have known him and know he will be greatly missed by family and friends.

What is an Uncle? A question profound.
In life's echoes, a meaning is found.
Uncle Geoffrey, a compass, a guiding star,
In the tapestry of kin, a presence afar.

He spoke in languages, a worldly guide,
His travels and tales, with Auntie B beside.
French whispers, Spanish embrace,
Often a mentor for me in life's intricate maze.

With sudden departure, a tragic blow,
Yet through Daniel and George, his legacy grows.
Many memories I have of him are in Mount Road's embrace,
In London, Spain, Egypt, and France's grace.

An Uncle, not just by blood, but by love,
a gift and a blessing from the above.
Grateful for so much shared laughter and tears.
Uncle Geoffrey, eternally in my cheers. X

I have been deeply saddened to hear of Geoff's passing. It has been a privilege to have met him somewhere along the way, making us all better people.

I worked with Geoff during his time at the University of Derby and he certainly left a lasting impression on me. In the quite brief time I knew him I quickly began to look up to him and held him in such high regard. His wit, humour and outlook on life was enviable and made him the character I remember so warmly. Whether it be sat next to him in his car whilst he tried to clear the seats of King Crimson CDs, or living it up on a work trip to London, I always think back to what a good companion and good soul he was. Without a doubt, one of the good guys.
Rest in peace Geoff, I am sure you are ripping it up in Heaven!

Similar in age to Geoff, I am getting used to losing friends, but Geoff’s passing is the first time I’ve cried since my sister’s death in 2010. He brightened up our lives in Saudi Arabia. The two of us had a wonderful boozy weekend in Bahrain. Our families got together in Cairo where Geoff and Brenda treated us to a Nile cruise. We returned the hospitality in northern Greece. Always fun. Geoff was a good man. This is a terrible loss.
