Dear Siobhan, Denise, Robert, Michael, Tuiren, Carmel and the extended Bourke family.

We are truly heartbroken. Words cannot express how deeply sorry we are for your loss. George was very dear to us. He was a very special person and was truly one of a kind.
We really valued his friendship and loyalty and all the wonderful qualities he possessed which made him such a cherished part of our lives.
We have many fond memories of shared times together over the past twenty four years as friends and neighbours.

George was always generous, kind and respectful and had a rare gift for making everyone around him feel at ease as well as valued and loved. Whether it was a kind word, a helping hand, or a clever joke just when it was needed most, he had a great ability to make others smile with that great mix of Tipperary wit and wisdom.
He was a true gentleman, a great friend and a valued neighbour, who left an imprint that will never fade. His warmth filled every room, his humour brightened even the dullest days, and he made our little corner of the world a much better place. It was an honour and a privilege to have known him and to call him our friend.

I hope you find some comfort in the many lives George touched, and in the love that surrounds you now.

I was so sad to hear of George's passing. I knew George many years ago when he worked with the O'Dwyer group and managed Break for the border. He was a great friend of my late brother Cormac Rowley. I have no doubt they are enjoying the high stool chats and pints. Sincere sympathies to Siobhan and their children, his mother and siblings and to all his friends and family. Rest in peace George, you were a gent.

Sincere sympathy to Siobhan, Denise, Robbie and Carmel on the death of George, a much-loved husband, father, son, brother, and to the extended Bourke family, and a wide circle of friends.
It was a great pleasure to have known George on the journey through life. He was very funny and entertaining and great company to be with. George’s friendship and warmth touched us all. I will always cherish the memories I have of him.
He was well known and well liked in the licensed trade business in Dublin (and in Nenagh). Testament to this is the large attendance from that sector at his funeral. He was a superb manager of Chaplin’s public house, where he was very popular with staff and customers alike.
Even when George was sick, he always put the people visiting him at ease, even though he was acutely aware of the terrible illness he had.
No words of mine can adequately describe the pain you are going through. George’s memory will always be a source of inspiration to all.

To dear Siobhan and Carmel and all the families, I apologize I could not be with you at the departure of George my beloved cousin. A recent hospital stay in the past days prevented me from being with you on this sad day. He was a great cousin who I have memories from a small boy in Knockalough and his many places in Dublin and Kildare where he plied his trade over the years. I have always loved him for his brilliant company, wit and charm and I last met him on his last day in the Bons Hospital when he finished his long treatment. Words cannot say how much he meant to me and how I will miss him in this life but I pray for his soul and that we will meet again in the next life. My sympathies and condolences to all his loved ones.
Sincere condolences to Siobhan & Family. May George rest in peace.
