For many years George and I toiled in the same area of practice. He was always a helpful colleague; generous to a fault in sharing his knowledge and accomplishments in helping myself and others tease out tricky and often baffling legal problems. For that I will remain forever grateful. I extend my condolences to Margaret, his sons and family, of whom he often spoke with great affection.

Condolences to George, Louise. George, Harry , Emily and all the family on the death of your father and grandfather. May your Dad rest in peace.
Sincere condolences to Margaret, George and Richard. George was a leading Chancery barrister where legal work is complex and often difficult. In intractable cases involving missing title deeds, competing wills, defective securities and the like, he had an ability to bring about a fair resolution. George adhered firmly to the barrister's 'cab rank rule' of advising and representing both the powerful and the weak as they arrived to his door. He spent long hours in the Law Library after court helping young barristers with their work. George epitomized the Chancery Bar's values of both equity and the law. It was my privilege to have learned from him, to have appeared in cases with him, and later in cases against him. He was a colleague who was a friend to us all.
Emer and I are deeply saddened to hear of George's passing. He was the most engaging of gentlemen and a absolute pillar of the Law Library. I don't think I ever came across a colleague so enthusiastically prepared to help colleagues on the most arcane of legal problems. The more complicated the problem the more he seemed to love advising on it. Nothing seemed too difficult for him to tackle. Always with great good humour, his ready smile accompanied every welcome solution. May he rest in peace.
My sincere sympathy to Richie and all the Brady family on the sad passing of George. May he rest in peace.

Aunty Margaret, George and Richard,
So sorry for such a sudden loss. I had such lovely chats with Uncle George just a few weeks ago, he told me some great stories of his early days studying law. He was so good to Dad, especially in the final years. I know he will be missed by all. I am sure somewhere in the universe he and Dad and the rest of the gang are having some serious and important conversations about anything and everything. Rest in peace Uncle George.

Dear Margaret,
I was shocked and saddened to hear of George’s sudden death. He was an exceptional colleague, always generous with his time and expertise to tease out complex title difficulties. He has been taken far too soon to enjoy what would have been a long and well-earned retirement. Unfortunately, I can’t be with you for the Mass on Monday as we’ll be away, but will be with you in spirit. Sincerest sympathy to yourself and the family on your sad loss. May he rest in peace.

Dearest Margaret. So sorry that George has gone. He was an exemplar of decency. Our sincere condolences to you and your family.
Margaret and family, we were shocked and saddened to learn of George’s death. He was a true gentleman and a wonderful colleague and friend, always ready to quietly offer help and advice to those who sought it.
George told me that in his early days at the Bar, 2 colleagues were especially kind to him, in helping him with his arrears of work, and that, in consequence,he resolved to always help colleagues who sought his assistance. This he did meticulously and with great patience, and he became a source of wisdom and support during his 54 year career at the Bar. He was an inspiration for his colleagues, and led a life which was utterly exemplary. He will be hugely missed by his family and large circle of friends. May he rest in peace.
Very saddened to hear of George’s passing. A thorough gentleman and a great great colleague of mine in the Law Library.
