George Brennan

I only had the pleasure of meeting George a couple of times many years ago, but he drove a few of us to do some sightseeing & was such a kind soul about it.. my partner and I reminisce about him often, he was the kind of person who left an impression on you. My heart and condolences go out to his friends and family. George will not be forgotten. <3

I just heard about it today as I was on leave,I felt frozen when I heard and i couldn't believe this at first 😔🥲
I met George at work in DECC a few times mainly at lunchtime,he was very warm and friendly and the sort of a natural person that you would think that you knew all of your life.
He loved talking about football (particularly Mayo and we had a good chat one day over lunch and chatted about good mayo teams in the past and Kieran McDonald who he admired)
I'm sorry now that I didn't get to know him more,as people like him are few and far between now a days

I met George on his first week in the Department, he greeted me with a warm smile and asked how I was. Every time I met him since then I was greeted with the same warm smile and genuine care for how I was doing. He was a true gentleman with the kindest soul.

Sincere condolences to George's parents abd brothers. Sincere is the word that stands out for us after meeting George and siblings at Christmas. Our brief meeting left a lasting impression on us. May George rest in peace and serenity.

Condolences to George’s family on your great loss. In the days before Christmas, George and I had a long chat about plans for the break. It struck me at the time how fondly and warmly he spoke of Claremorris and home; his family and friends. I recognised this in how his love of home was described today. I have seen first hand over the past few weeks the concern and care that colleagues and friends have had for George and how that turned to shock and sadness in recent days. His loss to the team; his colleagues and his friends is immense. His parents, brothers and wider family and friends are in our thoughts.
