Sincere sympathies to the extended Cosgrove families on the sad passing of George whom we fondly remember for over 60 years through our links with St. Francis Xavier Boys Club when George was a Member. As a boy he was always chirpy and had a continuous smile. In latter years I would come across George in his business in the Motor Trade and he looked after my requirements when he opened on the Malahide Road ( old Pierce Roche site). George was always generous when supporting the Boys Club fundraisers and it was apt that he wound up down on Dorset Street not far from where was reared and up from the Old Boys Club in Sherrard Street. Over the years I’ve met George and Pat perhaps when out with my Wife Vera in the Skylon or Tolka House amongst some of the establishments we often frequented. As always George had his customary smile and of course would try to sell a set of wheels.A wonderful character but also a true Gentleman. May George Rest in Peace.
Sincere condolences to Pat and George's family. George was a lovely guy who was always willing to lend a hand in any situation . I will never forget his RR with the bubbles coming out the back beside the exhaust. Rest in peace George
