Very sorry to hear of the Passing of George such a lovely guy we played poker with him on and off for years always very friendly and funny bloke we were ver fond of him and loved seen him at the tables

I am sorry to see on rip.ie that George has suddenly passed away. I knew him from my nights at Tango Fiesta classes and Milongas, a good few years ago now. A wonderful Tango Dancer. I always felt that I was a better dancer by his competent lead. I sometimes came across him, always with a beautiful smile, out walking his 2 beloved black dogs. He said he was an actor, not sure about that, but definitely had the looks!

Dear all who knew and loved him,

I’m from a large and diverse community from the Argentine tango scene who treasured Georgie Valentine every time he appeared from Spain, tanned and smiling, often with a canine companion.

Georgie was always a source of thoughtful conversation, maybe on a topic of deep humanity, maybe on the profundity of our relationships with beloved animals, on the idea of belonging, travel or making the foreign ‘exotic’ culture a home… It came as a deep shock that dear Georgie has passed.
He was an absolute treasured gem in our community and will be very missed.

My deep condolences to all who cherished him.
