To the family of the lovely George. I used to see him going about the town in his stronger days. Always happy and kind. A true gentleman to all with a friendly Hello that was warming to the soul. Would of seen him on his bicycle going about always with an air on happiness about him. Making me feel happy inside. Although I never spoke no more than a hello to him. So sorry to hear of George’s passing, he was the most wonderful neighbour & we have the fondest memories of growing up with him spoiling us with chocolate and the best stories. He was always an animal lover and we had great times with his dogs and horses. He was a gent to all he met, and such a genuine soul. We couldn’t have asked for a better neighbour. So sorry to hear such sad news, condolences to his extended family. George was always a great neighbour and chat and spoiled the children with all sorts of sweets. The ponies and dogs were his passion. When Jackie passed away, hail, rain or sun, he was on the bike with flowers in the front basket on the way to the graveyard. Fond memories of a true gentleman.

I'm so sorry to see that George has passed away.Going back several years ago,I used see this lovely gentleman in town or on his bicycle and he always said hello and had a smile and a friendly word for everyone. Then,some years later when I volunteered to do "Meals on Wheels",George was one of the people that I had the pleasure of calling on and what an experience it was to be greeted with a warm handshake by this amazing gentleman. We'd have a lovely chat and I'd loved to have stayed longer with him,but I had to go as there were others on that list.His home was immaculate and I would say that he polished his brasses every day.I know that he came from Lancashire and I often asked him, if he missed the UK and did he have any wish to go back to Lancashire but his resounding answer was no as his home was here in Crinkill.I didn't know his late wife but he always spoke lovingly about her.Finally, a fond farewell to this lovely gentleman as we may never see his likes again.May George's Gentle Soul now Rest in Perpetual Peace that he so richly deserves.
