We are so sad to hear of the passing of George. We were so fortunate to have met George while we were visiting from Canada with relatives in Roscrea and stumbled upon learning that George knew the Rafter family. We visited with George for a few hours listening intently to his stories of younger years growing up with the Rafter family. Our hearts and prayers go out to David and Yvonne and family. Rest In peace George and may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

I was very sad to hear of George’s death from Andy. My memory of George was of a gentleman who was grounded with a dry sense of humour. George welcomed me into his home with no knowledge of me as a person and I felt very welcome. I wish Andy, Yvonne , Aphra and David all strength .
