I was so sorry to hear of George’s recent passing I have known him for many years and our most recent meetings would have been on Hill 16 where amid all the mayhem and excitement of a Dubs match George was coolness personified His analysis of proceedings as they unfolded was always worth listening to.

Sincere condolences to you Pauline and Liana,both of you I was introduced to on the aforementioned Hill 16 and to Michael a fellow team mate on many a Joeys side

Just heard the news of George's untimely passing. Sincere condolences to Mick and all the Leonards at this sad time.
George was an absolute gentleman who always had a smile and warm greeting when we would meet at Vincents or Dublin matches. Dublin's loss was Monaghan's gain when he went to teach there. May he rest in peace

So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr Leonard. I have great memories of Mr Leonard from when he taught me in Beech Hill. He was a gentleman and every student had such great respect for him. Even years after leaving Beech Hill he was always interested in what I was doing with my life and always asked about the rest of my friends. He never forgot any of his students.
