Terrible to hear of George's passing. George and I were friends for many years and would check in from time to time. My condolences to his sisters Ann and Mary, his children Diane and Greg, his many friends and cousins and of course Phylis who remained his friend and businesses partner even after their romantic relationship ended. George will be sadly missed.

To all of the McLoughlin family. Our deepest sympathies. So sad to hear of George's passing. I haven't seen George in many years. Our lives take us on different paths. I have very fond memories of George when we were all teenagers and early twenties growing up in Kinvara and Ashtown Grove. He would have been in the 1967 gang. When we all used to go to the dance on Sat night in the old Castleknock tennis club. Charlie and I got to meet George again in the late nineties. He was still his kind jovial self. So sad. I'm sure he's reunited now with his parents and brother Jim. Jim was a friend of my brother Niall who also passed away, a very long time ago now. May George rest in peace. Deirdre (Carroll) Martin

George. I'm your son and I didn't really know you. But Dublin is a small city and I've met people who worked with you, knew you and grew up with you and the consensus was that you were a jovial, fun loving gentleman. I've been told by some people that you were the class clown, by others a caring friend and by a couple of people that you were shrewd business man. To me you'll always be the the guy that carried me on your shoulders so I could look at the monkeys in Dublin Zoo better, you were also the guy that made me want to wear a tie when I was eight years old so I could be a grown up business man like you. I wish that I could carry on this nice narrative a bit longer, but we both know that our common story came to an abrupt end. So if someone who knew George better than me is reading this please reach out and share your stories, because I'd like to change the beginning of this condolence even if It's too late to do it with my dad in person.
