Very sad to hear of George's passing. I offer my condolences to his family. I worked with George at Dublin Port in the seventies and have fond memories of a kind and intelligent colleague. I can still remember his voice and laugh and ready wit which brought smiles to his colleagues. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Very sincere sympathy to the McLoughlin family, George and I joined the job on the same day, and both of us spent the summer of 1965 in Rosslare Harbour. I then later again used to meet him at Inishammon F.P. from time to time. May he rest in peace.

This very sad news has also brought back many memories of the fine and universally-liked colleague George was. Heartfelt condolences to George’s Family.
