Sympathy to Annie, Marie, Paul, Owen and Nolan family on the sad passing of George. He was a very kind and generous man, which saw him bring a hen and her chicks to our young children many years ago. They often speak of his wonderful gift. George was life’s true gentleman and we pray for him and his family at this difficult time.
Sincere condolences to the Nolan family at this sad time. May George rest in peace
Cathy and I were able to remotely watch the Mass and celebration of Uncle George's long life from NY this morning. How blessed he was, with a large and loving family. I would echo what many have said about him being a gentleman, and great storyteller - always with a bit of humor. It should come as no surprise that while he and Aunt Annie visited us years ago, he insisted on painting the trim around the windows of a garage, and stacking sections of a tree we had cut down. As an aside from sightseeing, I took him for a ride to the only dairy farm I could think of, which I could always see from the highway but never had reason to visit. We pulled in and within minutes the initially incredulous NY farmer was totally engaged by Uncle George, and the two men discussed farming methods and machinery. He will be missed by all, but has assuredly gone 'straight up'.
Love,
Michael & Cathy Nolan
