We have many happy memories standing beside him at mini rugby matches and then AIL matches when our boys played for St Mary’s RFC. George was a member of BGC for over 40 years and for many of those I shared a four-ball with him. I witnessed one of his two holes in one on the sixth and one of his medal wins. Happy days! George had three great loves, his family, rugby and golf, in that order.
