My thoughts are with my dear family who I cannot be with at this present time. He was such a fantastic dad. I shall be proud to bear his Christian name as my middle name. Thanks to all of you who sent condolences to me and my family. Liz was such a good wife to my dad. I will always remember that. Dear Liz,
With great sadness we learnt of George's passing. He was such a big part of the day centre up until he went to Fatima home. He was a pleasure to look after and we all will have very fond memories of him. Scrabble has never been the same without George. We are thinking of you at this very sad time.

Heartfelt condolences to all Georges family on his very sad passing. He was a perfect gentleman at all times.I remember when he lived near us he would bring his accordion to entertain the girls when they were small and worked in Kerry fashions as a supervisor a role he so was suited for.Rest in Eternal Peace our friend George 🙏🙏🙏

The glint in his eye was the first thing you noticed of George when you met him on the street. You knew then you were in for an entertaining few minutes. He was the consummate gentleman. The roguish smile you would be greeted with is evident in the photograph above.
Although he was not from here he fast became as Tralee as you can get.
In kerry, the ultimate compliment, is to say he was,
"One of our own."
The glint in his eye, the roguish look, the ability to entertain with a good yarn, and the friendly greeting dispensed to all he met as he went about the town,
makes him
"One of our own".
Although I hadn't met him
for a while, it saddens me that I won't meet him again.
He will no doubt be welcomed home to paradise.
