Deepest apologises that we didn't attend the funeral,but unfortunately we only heard of the passing today. George was a gentleman of the higest standing, a learned man, a mindful of information, great conservationists, dedicated Educator,and a kind compassionate soul. Very sad to hear about George's passing. My sincere condolences to John, Nóra, and Tom. I feel very nostalgic for the happy times when the Rice family came to Kinsale on their holidays. We have Kathleen and George, and Jack and Darina Kelsie, to thank for bringing you to Kinsale and for giving all five O’Shea girls such lovely memories of holiday time with the Rices — bonfires on the beach, rounders on the green with George óg, and Norah’s imaginative ghost stories on the beach. They were truly idyllic summers.
