I was saddened to hear of Georges passing while on holidays.I wish now to convey my deepest sympathy to his family.George and myself played together on many teams together both in the junior and senior school in St.Marys College.We lost contact for many years but we met again at a coffee morning 60 years later. When I walked up to him I asked him did he recognise me? He smiled and said,are you not the little scrum-half!
I hope one day we will play once more on the same team in Heaven.R I P.

From growing up down the lane from you all in Delaford. To the holidays and camping trips, the card games and playing "bok boks" on the beach. The Christmas parties and games nights. Pretending to hide chewing gum behind your ears for later, the Jokes, stories and sing songs. Ill never forget the good times we all had!I feel so lucky to have had such a great uncle.

I am so sorry to hear of George's death. We first met 50 years ago last March when we were both on honeymoon. We both lived in Knocklyon and met on occasions in Superquinn. Stephanie and myself played for the same badminton club. We again came together when Unilver took over Knorr and we had very cooperative years in Sales distribution. The world is lesser place with the passing of George.

My deepest sympathy Stephanie, to you and the family. My childhood memories of Delaford Drive wouldn't be complete without George being a feature. From his ever cheerful hellos, to his playing the guitar and singing along, or to remembering him just pottering in the front garden, ever smiling and chatting away with us kids, the memories are all part of what made Delaford Drive so great. Both in Delaford and Roney, George was part of what made them so special. Never to be forgotten by me. Rest in peace dear George.
