George Stockley

It's with Deep Sadness and a Broken Heart I'm reading about the Death of a Very Special Friend, George Stockley R.I.P. now reunited in Heaven with his Beautiful Wife Anne R.I.P. and other Deceased Members of their Families R.I.P. I've known George and Anne for as long as I can remember, over 70 Years. My most vivid rememberance of Such a Kind and Loving Couple is, when they were living in a Flat up over the Rob Roy Pub and my Dad R.I.P. Pad Joe O'Sullivan and my Mam R.I.P. Maura went up to Sligo with a Crowd of Cobh Ramblers Soccer Team to a Match against Sligo, and I was sleeping in the Flat with George R.I.P.🙏 and Anne R.I.P. 🙏 and they took great care of me. As many of the people have said already, George was a Kind Gentleman, always Dressed in a Different Suit, Shirt and Tie for every Day of the Week, always Clean-shaven, Hair Cut Short and Shoes Polished so Shiny, ( Not Patent) Real Leather, you could see your face in them. R.I.P. George, Anne, Eileen and other Deceased Members. Amen 🙏 🙏 🙏 🙏 💔💔💔💔🌹🌹🌹🌹

childhood days when he worked with my father Walter on the tugs, so
willingly sharing his knowledge and showing me the ropes as a youngfella.

And most recently I loved listening to his stories whilst I cut his hair about Anns baking that she would wrap for him to take to the tug.
