We were so sorry to hear of the sad passing of George. A gentleman, always happy to chat and was a pleasure to be around when we were visiting our own Dad, Patrick, in room 11 in CUH.
We unfortunately also lost Dad too. Thinking of you all at this very sad time. May George rest in peace.

He was the father of athletics in Youghal and his marathon race times have still to be beaten. I was also in the FCA with George and he was a wonderful person to be around as he loved the craic. We used to pass him on the lighthouse hill as he went for his walk and we were always greeted with a smile and a "hello there". He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
