Shocked when I was in Clonmel today to be told of Ger’s unexpected passing. Our heartfelt condolences to Eamonn and all of her family. We both knew Ger from our time in Junior Chamber - happy memories. May she rest in peace.

Such sad news. Gone too soon. Geraldine was larger than life; with a big heart full of kindness, friendship and love for all who crossed her path.
Our dads both worked together in the bank and were friends and colleagues. Then our mums became friends. Then my sister Cathy and I were welcomed into the circle of friendship along with Geraldine, Caroline, Joseph and Robert.

I am very sorry to hear about Ger passing away so suddenly.
The first time I met Ger was as a customer in her old shop (near the now derelict SuperValu store).
I was immediately drawn to her warmth and openness and her beautiful spirit.
I bought a lovely chain from her that day which I still have.
I found her a wonderful conversationalist - so much so that I often used to pop in to see her to have a chat with her whenever I was in Clonmel.
She had a brilliant sense of humour and appreciated the absurdities of life without ever becoming cynical or unkind.
I also remember her courage and fighting spirit, even in the face of her own personal challenges.
I always admired her strength of character and her determination to find the best of each day.
My sincerest condolences to the family on her passing, with every best wish that you may all find strength and healing in the knowledge that she gave so much to so many.

Ger was great for a chat and a friendly steer. I visited her in more recent times in O’ Connell Street and was delighted to catch up with her.

I had many great times with Gerardine during my time in the Clonmel Arms and treasure the photograph of the cutting of your cake at your wedding. I was very sad and surprised to hear of Ger's sudden death. May she rest in peace. Ger was always larger than life, full of energy with a warm engaging smile and personality to match. I knew Ger from
Junior Chamber days and she was always a treasure,welcoming and including everyone. I read her candid Facebook posts avidly and had only read a recent one when I received the sad news. Ger will light up the heavens and shine down on those below with love and kindness.
Fondly remembered and sadly missed by many.
