I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Gerry.

It was always a pleasure to deal with him and he will be remembered with great respect by us here.

So sorry to hear of Ger's passing. We miss Ger and Bernie keeping our seats warm in the midland on a Friday. You would be there before us and we had to wait for the best seats in the pub when Ger would go for the takeaway before heading home and then we would take your seats. after the chats of course and then on rugby days when something would happen in the match and Ger would explain the rules.

It was a privilege to serve on the board of H Shiels Ltd with Gerry for the last 20 years. A true gentleman and such an honourable person. A great leader in the electrical contracting industry, for anyone who trained under him, you were truly privileged to do so. His work ethic and diligence were second to none, his knowledge of the electrical industry was legendary. He will be sorely missed by everyone who crossed paths with him.
