My heart goes out to the extended Burns family. Ger was a lovely, kind person and remember meeting him in Galway when he was working in Roisin Dubh in late 90's. Fondly remembered also from days in Ballyheigue. My condolences to u all

I was very saddened to hear the news of Gerald's passing. I hadn't seen him since our early 20s. He was good natured and enjoyed a night out. I hope life was good to him. May he rest in peace

I was very sad to hear the news. I sat near him in class in Causeway for three years and we had great fun in those good old days. Lovely memories.

I'm sorry for your huge loss. I remember Ger well from Causeway school, fadó fadó. Ger was witty, and smart, also shy and mysterious. He seemed to be in the know somehow! I knew Gerald form our time in Causeway school. He was a quite and reserved guy, who also shared a common passion for music. Gerald was always good for copying an album (on tape) and sharing. While 'whole lotta love' maybe his life's quote, he is definitely on the 'stairway to heaven'

So sorry to hear of the passing of Gerald. Was a school mate of his back in the day and was always so impressed with his brilliant mind and knowledge. Dont think I ever told him that. You don't realise at the time when you are just growing in this world and I hope that Gerald had a good and happy life after school.
