Brenda, Aidan, Ciaran and Eoin, Im so sorry to hear about Gerry's passing and wanted to send my condolences to you and all your family at this very sad time. I was with mam when she got the news and she was very upset and we talked about how Gerry was dad's longest friend and how good he was to dad, especially when they were young and dad was having a hard time with how his life was going back then. Gerry got him into the Bosco and changed his life. My memories are always of Christmas time with you all and how it was how we spent every Stephen's Day visiting your lovely family. Gerry or Uncle Gerry as we called him was always so welcoming. I hope this sad time goes by quickly and soon when you think of him it will be of the happier times you had together for all of these wonderful years. Love you all - Fiona Lyons

I am really sorry to hear of Gerald’s passing. He resided for many years with my late Mother in Killeshandra. She always said he was a breath of fresh air to have in the house. A lovely man, and always a great help to our family. Peace at last! Gerald.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Gerald, Brenda and the lads for more than 40 years and all I can think of to say is (WHAT AN INCREDIBLE FAMILY) You have had so many challenges in life ,but have stayed so strong because of your bond as a family and that is what you will need to call on over the next days ,weeks and months .
I will miss my chats and banter with Ger as we regularly had when we meet in Terenure or here in the garage where he was so respected by everyone and we loved his humour !!
