So sorry to hear of the death of Gerry. We have great memories of him upstairs in O’Brien’s supermarket (a very challenging stairs!!).He was a great dentist and our children enjoyed their visits to him. A true gentleman. Thanks for the memories Gerry.

Sincere sympathy to all the family from us. Gerry was a lovely man and a superb dentist. I was a patient of his when he operated from the back of O’Briens supermarket in Maynooth in the 1980s. After my treatment he would get my daughter to sit up in the chair and he’d check out her teeth, very gently, and give her 10p for being a good girl. Most unusual we thought for a Cavan man to be giving away money! She still remembers this with affection and it was a great way to help prevent dentaphobia!
