Condolences to Geraldine's Family. I have very fond memories of working with Geraldine in Trinity, many years ago. She was a wonderful person to work with and so kind to her patients.
I am devastated to hear of Geraldine’s passing. Her record as a tennis player and a squash player is unmatched by any other player who excelled in both sports.
She was a visionary as regards the development of sport and served as chairperson of the Sports Council. I had the pleasure of being coach of the Leinster Ladies Squash team when Geraldine was our No 1 and her example and her unrivalled enthusiasm inspired all the team and put me under good pressure to raise the level of my coaching.
I offer my sympathies to Jim, Susan who I knew in the past, to her niece Sorcha and grandniece Lile who I know now as well as all Geraldine’s extended family.
The standard of squash in heaven will take a sharp jump upwards

Ger was like a mother to me in Ireland. I feel truly lucky to have met her at Café Diem in Donnybrook. From that day, I felt part of a big family, and I am proud to have known you all, especially David, Tim, and Nick.
