Geraldine BARNIVILLE

I was saddened to learn of Geraldine's passing in today's Irish Times. I had the privilege of knowing her during my time as Executive Director at the National Coaching and Training Centre in Limerick, where she served on our Board. She was an outstanding, intelligent, and deeply thoughtful person. She was a feisty lady, so spirited and determined in everything she did. Her contributions made a real difference, and she will be greatly missed. With heartfelt sympathy to her family and friends. May she rest in peace.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Geraldine's passing. My condolences to all of her family. I was a neighbour of Geraldine's in Donnybrook - she was incredibly kind and generous to me and my husband, and our new arrivals, Mia and Milo. May she rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Geraldine’s passing. I have very fond memories of our time together in College and the Mater Hospital. She was a very special person. I was honoured to have her as my bridesmaid in 1969.

I remember her as a mature student in Physiology in Trinity College. She was a great asset to the class and I, as a young lecturer, learnt a lot from her. She was always in good form and properly curious.

Members and friends from Lansdowne Lawn Tennis Club fondly remember Geraldine as an esteemed competitor, noted for her many successes for Ireland and for her achievement in winning the East of Ireland ladies singles title in 1971. Her contribution to Irish tennis will be long remembered.
