Heartfelt condolences to Jasper, Araminta, and Rupert, on the loss of your Mum and grandmother. Your Mum was a beautiful lady, with a welcoming presence, wonderful sense of humour and a great personality. I worked in Winn’s Factory, Kilbrittain, and had a long acquaintance with Betty. Our friendship lasted a lifetime, I used to look forward to meeting her in Bandon and having the chats. Her love of animals and nature was unrivalled, and our conversations were always varied and interesting. Betty will be sorely missed, may she rest in peace.

My husband Brian worked for Mr. Winn in England and we came to Ireland with them when they moved the company here. I would often meet Mrs. Winn in Bandon and we would stop and have a chat. She was a lovely lady.

We never met her but are friends of Jaspers. She must have been a wonderful woman and mother to have such a son.

Mrs. Winn was such a nice kind lady. My dad Donal worked in the castle and I remember when I was eight , I was in hospital and Mrs.Winn sent me a beautiful doll, books and a lovely letter. I treasured that doll and still have the doll over 50 years later. She would always stop and chat when my mam would meet her in Bandon over the years.
