It is very difficult to understand and accept what has transpired over the past week. Geraldine was a family friend for decades and then she married into our family and became family. Her untimely passing leaves an unfillable void in our lives and in the Newmarket community which she served with commitment and energy over many many years.

To Siobhan, Chris, Dan and Deirdre, and to Mary, Mike, PJ, Seamus, Cyril and Johnny, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray that you will find strength and comfort from the love for Geraldine that you are feeling from the community in Newmarket and beyond. I regret I am unable to be home but I am with you in spirit.

May Geraldine now enjoy her eternal rest. Sleep well Geraldine.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Geraldine. She was such a support to me when I was in a fragile place after the passing of my husband and having his ashes blessed before burial.
