Dear Laura, Mark, and Tommy, I'm heartbroken to write this message. I'm so shocked and sorry to hear the sad news about Ger. I was speaking with her only 2 days before her death and she was so vibrant and full of life. She did her nurse training with my mum Dorrie, and they've been friends for over 70 years. Now it turns out they died within a fortnight of each other. Since my mum got sick a number of years ago, I've become friends with Ger and loved her company and our long chats. I only found out about her death when trying to contact her this weekend to tell her of my mum's death. My deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to you all. Your mum was a remarkable woman and I'm so sorry for your loss.
