From the Irish Society in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania....where Geraldine spent time working on the Society's production of Romeo and Juillet with Anne O Driscoll. All of us here remember Geraldine fondly and send our sincere condolences to her family.

My sincere and deepest sympathy to all Geraldine's family and friends. Her death has been so very shocking. I was privileged to know her and to benefit from her experience as a foster carer as she co-presented training courses with myself and Christine White for relative foster carers. Her empathy, eagerness to help other carers and her flexibility in making herself available were boundless. The loss to her family must be beyond measure. I have a small idea of her love for them from how she spoke of them. So tragic too that she was cut off before she could finish her studies. May she have peace now. Many of us in foster care will be forever grateful to her and will remember her with fondness and respect.

Sincerely sorry to hear of Geraldine's death. I was in her company many times and found her to be an optimistic woman who made the most of Life. She was brave and stoic. She was a wonderful mother and a good friend. I'm praying for her children and the rest of her family. She will watch over and guide all.
