Geraldine you will be missed but never forgotten. You welcomed me into your crafting community, shared your skills with so many of us. You are a true teacher, inspiring people to learn and we will keep you in our hearts always. Your kindness shines on, sending our condolences to your husband and all your loved ones.

Safe in the arms of Jesus now. Am so blessed to be an ex pupil of Geraldine's Crochet class, she was an absolute genius. I also sat beside her in an Art class. She was brilliant at Art too. A lovely woman always willing to give and help everyone. Her husband was always praised and loved. Sincere sympathy to all the family.

Geraldine was one of my favourite memories of laughter and positivity when I was home in Ireland and back visiting. She would come by to visit, and she knew how to make someone feel special. I still have my first Irish dancing dress, with the collar and cuffs you crocheted for me, along with two extras you did as back ups. :)

Over the years, I have followed on Facebook your generosity and creativity with your crafts and love of community in Drogheda, and it has always inspired me to continue to give back when and how I can. Thank you for being one of the selfless blessings in my family.

To James, Auntie Eileen, Elaine and all the Yellands, hold one another close and remember her amazing spirit. May that bring you some smiles as you travel through this grief.

I am really sorry to hear of the untimely passing of Geraldine. My sincere condolences to her beloved family and friends.

I just happened to meet her on her doorstep whilst campaigning last September and we got chatting.

Her tireless voluntary work with projects like Connect Frc, teaching in local schools and women’s groups was remarkable and she expected nothing in return.

I remarked at the time that she deserved a Civic award…it’s too late to give it to her personally but her family should most definitely receive it on her behalf.

May her gentle and generous soul rest in peace.

James I was very saddened to hear Geraldine went to heaven. She had the ability to light up a room and had magic hands.
