I remember Geraldine from our times in UCD and being in London in the mid 1980s: big chats trying to start out in life, trying to make sense of life and having fun! On hearing of Geraldine’s passing those times seem at once like a long time ago and like only yesterday, and make her passing seem all too soon and untimely, life’s journey too short. May Geraldine’s joyful spirit enjoy eternal happiness and her memory bring happiness to her loved ones.

My heartfelt condolences to all Ger's family & friends. I am so sad to hear of her loss. I had the pleasure & privilege to have worked side by side with the lovely Ger in community welfare. She was always a joy to spend time with, warm & friendly, and always willing to help others. She invariably had a smile & a reassuring word for customers & colleagues alike. She was much missed by us in the CWS when she retired, & her tragic loss to her family is just devastating. I really hope that the numerous kind & loving reminiscences written here give some little support to all who have loved Ger, especially her wonderful family. RIP beautiful lady - you have touched the hearts of so many with your generosity, kindness, & good humour. 💞
