Deepest sympathy Carole, Jennifer, Stephanie and the extended England families on Gerrys passing. He did his very best to stay with you all with his courage, indomitable spirit and good and witty humour in the face of his illness.
He has been our dear friend for so long and we had many's the cups of tea and sometimes a stronger beverage as we discussed the affairs of the nation, his sporting exploits with Kyle and inevitable it came back to taking about the farm and his bullocks and the price of cattle and his love for all things farming. We often wondered how he got through so much as he was never in a hurry but always has several projects on the go.
No conversation ever finished before he talked about his girls and Carol and his pride and joy in all that they did. He was overjoyed when his little grandson Joe arrived.
He was respected for his integrity and kindness and professionalism and was the essence of a good community guard who knew his area and the people in it and strived to make it a safer community for us all.
May his gentle and loving spirit enfold you all in the times ahead. Rest easy Gerry. You deserve it
