So terribly sorry to hear of Gerard’s passing. The Fleming and Quinn families enjoyed great friendship over the years going back to when Gerard’s father Mick and my own parents played cards together in the Community Centre. They remained true friends afterwards. Gerard was a great man to have a chat with and could talk on anything but particularly farming and GAA. The Fleming family were and remain steeped in both traditions. God rest his gentle soul. I could not attend the funeral due to illness and wanted to convey my sincere condolences to Peggy, Mary, Claire, Annemarie and Michael and to his devoted grandchildren. Sympathy also to Gerard’s siblings whom I knew so well when we were growing up in Bansha. In our thoughts and prayers.
