When the news came through on Tuesday that Gerry had died it rocked the Handball and
Sporting Community to its very core. Gerry was an amazing person who gave so much time
to the development of the game in the County and Colllooney Handball Club. He had many visits
to our court in Ballymote where he would take part in the Annual Tournament and he also got involved
in the coaching of our juveniles on many occasions. Gerry was available when ever required to take charge of fixture or referee a match.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.
