Gerard (Gerry) DIGNAM

I'm extremely sad that I won't have another opportunity to talk and laugh with Gerry, one of the most interesting people I've known. We recognized kindred spirits when we met for the first time fourteen years ago, at the funeral of Noel Gilshenan, my wife's brother, and Gerry's first cousin. Since then, we met only a few times, ostensibly to discuss the Dignam-Gilshenan family tree, and I couldn't get enough of Gerry's wisdom and wit. A fascinating man; I shall really miss him.

It was with heavy heart that I heard the sad news that Gerry had passed away. Gerry's wonderful wit and lovely company will be sadly missed. Thinking of you all.

So shocked to hear of Gerry's death and apologies I missed his funeral He was a lovely man who I will miss very much .May he rest in peace

I’m so sorry to hear of Gerry’s passing. I have so many lasting memories of Gerry’s wonderful sense of humour. He was like a part of the Lowe family through thick and thin. My most memorable was a week golfing in South Carolina with a group of lads, well he had the group crying with uncontrolled laughter every evening ! Noreen Alan, Helen and Barry my sincere condolences. Our prayers are with you all.

So sorry to hear the sad news about Gerry. He was an amazing man. I remember his magazine in Technicon and his meteoric rise to high office in HR in Technicon and Prime. He was a bundle of energy and wonderful company. He was also a major force in the first housing cooperative in Swords and an inspiration to us all. He gave of his time selflessly and set up Swords Youth Club. And he was always the guy who connected with young people. Sincere condolences to Noreen and family and friends.
