Shocked and saddened on hearing of Gerrys untimely passing. We would like to express our sincere condolences to his beloved wife Bernie their adored Sons Simon and Alan also their treasured Grandchildren his Brother Paddy sisters Marie & Kathleen and the extended Duffy family also remembering Bernies extended family and a wide circle of friends of which he had many for he was such a likeable friendly individual. Gerry was a multy talented sportsman very expert in many and the jovial manner in which he played them made him many friends. The aspect i liked most about Gerry was when you met him he was an invidual who possessed an ingrained talent to brighten up your darkest day. It was a privilege to have known you and enjoyed your company. Rest forever in eternal peace

His welcome in Carton was wonderful and in full voice you would be under no illusion as to who was in charge. Gerry was a lovely gentleman and will be sadly missed by us all.
