Gerard (Gerry) Flynn

Our sincere sympathies to you all on your great loss. I first met Gerry probably in 1974 or '75. Many years later our lives here in Carrick became intertwined with Gerry's family. A great mentor and advisor. Jean's late mum was a former work colleague and always spoke so highly of Gerry. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

In these unusual times I first learned of Gerry’s passing while attending 11am Sunday mass in Ransboro - his month’s mind. He was an exceptional man - wise, a great conversationalist, humorous and above all else kind-hearted. He believed in the community and in the state he served with honour. Sincere sympathy to his family.

First met Gerry in the 80’s in his office when sorting out a clients tax affairs. Over the years met him at many Leitrim GAA matches . A loyal supporter through the good days and bad.
