I am so terribly sorry for your loss. I worked with your dad in ecclesiastical and he was such a lovely warm gentleman . Always with a smile.
One of my favourite sayings of his was, your bloods worth bottling. He would say it often and it always made me smile.

Came across him again when he used to come along to AIB choir concerts and he was still the same happy man. So proud of all his girls. And a loving husband to Ger. So sorry for your loss.

Mum always had the Kiely Girls down as Teacher’s favourites and spoke warmly of your Dad’s lively spirit on the sidelines and his good-humoured support, even with the odds stacked. Our paths only crossed in Howth GC a few years ago and i was immediately impressed by his warmness, his modesty, and the many stories he told of past sporting exploits - his tennis playing career in Ashbrook LTC and his piano playing in Fitzwilliam LTC and Clontarf castle. Geniality can only be said of a few but for Gerry it was the core of his being. Will miss his cheery hellos. RIP
