It is difficult to come to terms with the loss of Gerard who has been a key family member since we were children. He lived an interesting and varied life. His interets were many and varied. He had many skills including the ability to build rapport with people from all walks of life. He saw opportunities where others saw failure. Always optimistic even when the odds were down. The world is full of boring and dishonest people. Gerard will be remembered otherwise. We are thinking of Margaret and all the family in this time of grief but at least his suffering is over.

it was with total shock to hear of Gerry's passing ,i spent many a time and hours chatting with him and dyeing his locks in the salon as also with his family and wife margaret ,gerry was always the lifeblood of his family ,a very kind and caring gentleman who loved life and all its challenges a modern day honest del boy , a truly inspiring person ,who kept moving to improve peoples lives ,and try his hand at anything ,to strive and loved his family and a son who left to soon ,his memory will live on ,well done gerry ,,,, love from john and rebecca to his family ,,,leonardhairdressing

Gerry was my first boss when I worked in the photography Studio in Finglas over 40 years ago. Such a gentleman, he always had a smile on his face. Great memories of those times. His family was always his whole world. I am sure he is smiling down on you all, together with Eoin.
