My sincerest condolences to Gerry's family on his sad passing. When I joined Sutton Golf Club in the early 1990's Gerry was one of the first people I played with. We regularly played in the Wednesday competitions and we became firm friends. Neither of us was likely to get the call up for a place on the Barton Cup team but we enjoyed ourselves. We particularly enjoyed the Wednesday craic in the bar. Gerry was always great company with a fascinating life story. He will be sadly missed.
