Dear Sarah and family,

I only learned of Gerry’s passing this afternoon and was very saddened by the news. May he rest in peace.

I met Gerry 10 years ago when out walking one of my border terriers. A friendly voice said 'that looks like my dogs brother!' + a conversation ensued and invitation to come meet the now passed Fred.
Gerry became the plumber for our home and school + always did his best for us. We would chat about movies- gosh he loved his movies + the goings on in the world + he'd give me some common sense advice too. His pride in his 2 sons + love for Sara would always come up in conversation in some way. I will miss his honking at me as drove about.

My thoughts are with you all for the loss of such a wonderful man.

I would like to express my condolences, I am Valerie’s friend and knew the family since 1989. I knew Gerard because of his plumbing services but he was a great person in every way always available to help! Please accept my prayers for all your family especially to Sara and his children. Gerry always greeted me with a smile and a joke. The last time I met him was outside the Killiney Castle Hotel a few years ago when he was battling some illness - but even then with a smile and a joke. I am really sad to hear of his passing and wish his family my sympathies.

So very sorry to hear of Gerry's passing. Always remember him around Dun Laoghaire and he was in the scouts with my husband way back in the '60/'70s. In more recent times we shared many a consoling conversation during the years our dads were both in Altadore. He was such a lovely person. Sincere condolences to all of his family at this sad time.
