Full of good humour with a sharp wit, he was an absolute gentleman to have a pint with. I never once heard him complain over recent times about his health situation - far from it - he got on with it and enjoyed the chat and banter. He will be fondly missed and never forgotten by those who knew him. Rest in Peace Gerry.

I learned with absolute shock about Gerry’s death I had coffee with him a few weeks ago & despite all he was going through he looked & sounded well. We planned to meet up again but sadly it wasn’t to be

Gerry was first of all a family man and fantastic accountant with a wide range of clients who relied on him not simply as an accountant but as a strategic advisor

Socially he was great fun to be around with his hilarious stories and infectious laughter. Regularly he never finished his stories such was his laughter. They don’t make personalities like Gerry any longer.

He will be very badly missed by his large circle of friends but more so by Karen, Stephen, Glenn and his extended family RIP
