Shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the passing of the true legend that was Gerry O'Loughlin. We will miss bumping into him on the back road or on the pier about to head out to check his lobster pots. We'll miss his big smile and friendly chats.
He was a fantastic neighbour to my late dad, always checking in on him (even in the middle of the night when his alarm accidently went off). That kindness meant more to us than words can say.

I’m so sorry to hear this very sad news. It’s hard to think of Cahore without Gerry there, he’s been a friendly presence around the pier ever since we were all kids together on holidays in the 60s. He was part of a lovely family, deepest sympathy to you all, this will be a very tough time. Rest in peace Gerry.
